Creamsicle Water – Homemade Flavored Water

Yes, that is correct.  Creamsicle water.  The taste of a summer creamsicle dripping down your hand in the form of refreshing *almost* calorie free water.  I cannot physically calculate the calories in this since I don’t have the machinery to do it.  But I can’t imagine the orange is flooding the water with calories.  Plus you can always add water, which dilutes it and the calories, but you still get the taste.  I love the idea of flavored water and since I usually have a few odds and ends leftover from my produce box, this would be a great way to use them up.  Feel free to make your own flavor-infused water – naturally – using the flavors you like and share!

There is a Fruit Fusion Water Pitcher just for making this.  I use my Pampered Chef pitcher that has the handle which stirs it up each time.

Creamsicle Water
yields 2 qts.

2 qts. water
2 oranges, sliced thin
1 vanilla bean, scraped

1.  Mix it all up in a pitcher and allow to sit in the fridge for at least one hour.  You can strain it or not.  Sometimes I do with my french press.

    • Yes, but you may have a slight alcohol taste integrated into the water. Vanilla extract is primarily alcohol plus vanilla beans and some manufacturers add additional sugar.
